Here’s our next lightning round of questions for our staff, this time from company founder Ali Meeks! Ali shares her thoughts on all things peanut butter, and why she might not eat a piece of your wedding cake (or then again, she might).

Name: Ali Meeks

  1. Favorite swim stroke? backstroke
  2. Favorite sport besides swimming? There are other sports??? Well, ok. Horseback riding, then.
  3. Favorite junk food? Reese’s peanut butter cups
  4. Favorite childhood TV show? Brady Bunch
  5. Place you most want to travel? Greece!
  6. Perfect day in 20 words or less? Smoothie, horse ride, beach swim, hot tub!
  7. Cats or dogs? I have dogs now, but I grew up with a cat and I love cats too.
  8. Last Halloween costume? Dorie, I think.
  9. Cake or pie? Depends on my mood; usually pie but it’s because I don’t necessarily like all cake frosting, so try me and I may be converted.
  10. Top three favorite movies? Finding Nemo (you could have guessed that, right?), The Cutting Edge (80’s figure skater/hockey player cheesy romance), and marine life documentaries.
  11. First concert you attended? NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK, BABY!!
  12. Sour Patch Kids or Swedish Fish? Swedish Fish
  13. Karaoke or roller coaster? Roller coaster!
  14. If you had to eat one thing for every meal going forward, what would you eat? Cap’n Crunch peanut butter cereal
  15. If you could spend a day in someone else’s shoes, whose would they be and why? An Olympic swimmer. I’d like to see what it’s like to be at the Olympic swim meet.
  16. If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be? Horsemanship. It’s my current obsession and learning it as an adult is a challenge!
  17. What’s one thing your parents/guardians taught you that changed your life? Traveling is a worthwhile way to spend your time and money.
  18. When are you most productive? Morning!
  19. When not working, how do you like to spend your time? Trail riding with my husband Kelly and our horses Butch and Tari.
  20. Who inspires you and why? The Apostle Paul. After his conversion, he suffered a lot and had a ton of courage through all kinds of crazy circumstances and travels, including being thrown out of cities, being involved in shipwrecks, and being bitten by a snake. He thrived with a lot of uncertainty in the 1st century world. He displayed great faith and trust in Christ, and in the end, considered it all worthwhile.
